Jazz Cafe
I’m feeling some type of way
Like your melody needs to marry my lyrics to present these poems of our freedom, that rings like the cracked bell of liberty in sync with brotherly love humming hymns in echo that echo harmony
Unityyyyyy (sing)
Unity that disagrees with beat
A rhythm less nation that’s preached to by maxi priest in acapella
Condoning the matrimony of stanza and verse
I now pronounce you song
To consummate lyrics that stroke vocal chords like sweet nothings do egos
So rock with me tonight (sing) for old time sake
then
Divorce my vows to postpone pomp and circumstance as the future seed we should have planted in poetry was deferred by the butterfly effect of a single wing
Fluttering through time causing typhoons halfway around the world (chaos theory) to follow Hansel and Gretel’s trail to the Whydah Galley’s route where onboard there is more stolen stowaway’s of history then we have years in this country. See too much of our past lies in the abysses of the Atlantic so I only feel its right for us to except honorary citizenship in Atlantis so
Ella on your Holiday make the tides rise as you sing me a blue moon in pursuit of miles per hour that gives miles a kind of blue that makes him give birth to cool.
I am as a fan
See me blowing verses that cause me to ad-lib rehearsal like Gillespie’s improvisation along side of Charlie Parker in a Dizzy Atmosphere we take the flight of the bumble bee to fast forward in freestyle bouncing ideas underneath umbrella’s that recoil like karma in midst brain storms to pay homage to the cousin of the spins, kin to too long of a time on the Mary-go-round
The games we play to beat around the bush of what is poetry
Poetry is that notion that can cause perpetual motion to cease without reason pushing theories out of existence
It’s the ability to wander freely in your best mistakes
It’s that simple thought that made a big impression
Its expression poeticized no matter the demeanor
Poetry is perception
Poetry is this idea running with a head start, but I won’t chase it…imma let it find its way to you
[ Lee]
Pianist dance with ivory tusks dressed in tuxedos
This stanza cries for the sacrifice that elephants have made to preserve music
This stanza cries for Ray Charles, the Genius that loved company, but died lonely with Georgia on his mind cause the people in his life could never really converse quite like he did with piano keys
This stanza cries for the stolen sound of Little Richard
For Duke Ellington’s Maharaja of the keyboard Oscar Peterson
The Harmonious quartet of Thelonious Monk
For the jazz infused hands of Herbie Hancock’s funk
This stanza cries for Beethoven loss of hearing
Mozart’s prodigy never replicated
For Brick cities G-d father of pianist Bill Evans
This stanza gives thanks to the ears of my man David Sides and Ant Bowers!

Why Savingface?

Rule #5 in the 48 Laws Of Power by Robert Greene which i highly recommend (that's another blog) is: "So Much Depends on Reputation-Guard It With Your Life."
Face value, in our culture is very important
When you save face it involves dignity which many measure as an attribute of stature
You save face by protecting your integrity by means of keeping it intact
Saving face means to do things that will not disgrace, hurt, or put to shame the name of your family, group, institution, corporations, and most importantly yourself.
Saving Face means to humble ourselves to preserve our Pride in which we have means of Protecting in order for vulnerability not to be prohibited of rearing its ugly face
but shit i wasn't going that deep when i chose the name. I'm just trying to help you save face!
Everyone and Everything contains beauty no matter how grotesque it may appear. As you know things are not always as they appear. I take it as a challenge to bring the beauty out...and if i can't...SMH...its a damn shame to be that UGLY! lol...Hey you gotta have a sense of humor and you gotta have fun...stay up family...
